AHS Color Guards Score High In Winter Competitions

Allen High School Color Guard teams have placed in every 2017 competition they have participated in, including a top 50 spot in the Winter Guard International World Championship.

The Junior Varsity Blue team placed third in the North Texas Colorguard Association tournament at Lamar High School in Arlington and the NTCA tournament at Bowie High School in Arlington, first place at the NTCA tournament at Flower Mound High School, and was promoted into the Regional A class.

The Junior Varsity White team also placed third at the NTCA Lamar and Bowie High School tournaments, first place at the NTCA Flower Mound High School tournament, won bronze at the NTCA Scholastic A Championship and participated in the WGI World Championship in Dayton, Ohio, finishing with a score of 77.96.

The Varsity team placed third at the NTCA Flower Mound High School tournament, second at the NTCA Lamar High School tournament, first at the NTCA Bowie High School tournament, won the Varsity Champion title at the WGI Dallas Regional tournament, won gold at the NTCA National A Championship and came in 16th place out of 138 colorguard teams in the world at the WGI World Championship.
